The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (IOMTT) is a legend. It is regarded as the oldest, but also the world’s most dangerous motorcycle race and was first held in 1907. Heroes have been born here ever since. The track is formed by public roads. The circuit is about 60 kilometres long and winds through the landscape and villages of the British Isle of Man. The race makes huge demands of man and machine. The fastest bike achieve average speeds exceeding 200 kilometres per hour.
In 2014, for the first time in 75 years, BMW took victory in the Superstock, Superbike and in the elite discipline – the Senior Class – with Michael Dunlop riding the RR.
