Winter is drawing to an end. Is your throttle hand already starting to get twitchy? Do you want to ramp up the pace out on the racetrack under the guidance of professionals? The BMW Motorsport Race Track Experience once again has something for everyone in 2016, from beginner to professional.
The BMW Motorrad Motorsport Race Track Experience features two different kinds of event: the Race Academy’s training courses and the BMW Motorrad Track Days by Eybis. There is something here for every motorcyclist. It is the ultimate opportunity to exhaust the full potential of the BMW S 1000 RR out on the racetrack.
The clue is in the name: At the Race Academy, participants learn the art of racing. Beginners can take their first steps on the racetrack, while more advanced riders can fine-tune their riding skills and learn how to knock off the odd tenth of a second here and there.
Bikes can be rented at the circuit for all those who want to complete the Race Academy training courses on the latest BMW S 1000 RR. They offer a comprehensive package, as the rental price includes the cost of tyres, fuel, spare brake pads, tyre fitting, mechanical support and insurance. Participants can also familiarise themselves with the latest HP Parts from BMW Motorrad Motorsport.
Learning is best done in small groups – and that is the philosophy at the Race Academy. The groups consist of no more than three people and are composed according to riding ability. This guarantees exactly the right level of care for everyone. Experienced instructors, including real professional racers, such as two-time world superbike champion Troy Corser, give the participants their personal attention and show them how to raise their skill levels out on the racetrack.
Lap times are recorded electronically, making it possible to measure every bit of progress made. The instructors also use video analysis to show the participants how they can improve their riding style. This makes the Race Academy the perfect training course for ambitious racers.
Together with our partner Eybis, we are once again staging the BMW Motorrad Track Days this year – the perfect event for anyone wanting to open the throttle on their own bike out on the racetrack. The Track Days are also open to all abilities – whether you are getting your first taste of the racetrack on your bike or have already leant your way around some of the best-known corners on the international racing calendar in the past.
The BMW Motorrad Track Days are held at top European racetracks, including Paul Ricard, Le Mans, the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona, the Nürburgring and the Hockenheimring.
Also on site to offer participants advice and support are professional instructors. Troy Corser is often on hand to give insider tips on how to improve one’s riding style. Participants can also test the latest BMW S 1000 RR, equipped with selected HP Parts.
