Highlights BMW Motorrad Race Trophy 2014
It was a year packed with highlights for BMW Motorrad Motorsport: the BMW S 1000 RR wrote motorsport history with great results like Michael Dunlop’s three victories at the Isle of Man TT, the first ever race win for a BMW in the British Superbike Championship by Ryuichi Kiyonari, and the first ever pole position for a Superstock bike in an Endurance World Championship event, the 8-hour race at Oschersleben.
On top of this come fantastic achievements like the seven victories recorded by the BMW Motorrad Italia SBK team in the Superbike World Championship EVO class. Victories were celebrated with the BMW S 1000 RR or HP4 in Canada and Brazil, in Spain, France and Italy as well as in every Superstock 1000 class race in the International German Championship. Championship titles and runner-up titles in many other series’ were the well-deserved results.
Through the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy, BMW Motorrad once again proves to be a pioneer for innovative motorsport concepts. Since this season, the Race Trophy unites success hungry racing heroes around the globe in a single classification for privateer BMW motorcycle racers.
