This created a big, global BMW Motorrad Motorsport community that continues to grow.
The focus of the BMW Motorrad Motorsport commitment is the success of the BMW Motorrad customers. The BMW Motorrad customer racing programme supports teams and riders riding the BMW S 1000 RR and sidecars with BMW engines – customised and tailored to suit the respective racing series – with comprehensive know-how and BMW Motorrad Motorsport’s engineers’ and specialists’ expertise.
This ranges from support at trackside, technical support regarding questions about the RR and support for the electronic set-up to regular race kit software updates and race parts developed specifically for race use. All BMW Motorrad Motorsport engineers have years of experience in international motorcycle racing and in Formula 1. In total, more than 250 teams worldwide count on BMW Motorrad Motorsport’s support.
Titles and wins in the FIM CEV Superbike European Championship, the Superbike IDM / International German Championship, the British Superbike Championship, at legendary Road Racing events like the North West 200, the Isle of Man TT or the Macau Grand Prix, and in many other renowned national and international championship prove that the BMW Motorrad Motorsport customer racing programme guarantees success!
Furthermore, BMW Motorrad became the first manufacturer worldwide to start an innovative racing project – the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy – covering every continent and with a single classification for privateer BMW riders. The feedback among BMW racers worldwide is overwhelming. For 2016, BMW Motorrad Motorsport further extended the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy. More racing series have been included. The participants score points for the Race Trophy in 21 championships and 28 classes, at around 300 races on six continents. At the end of the season, the best of the best will be rewarded with trophies and substantial prize money and will be honoured during an exclusive end of season gala in Munich – the home of BMW Motorrad. It goes without saying that food and drinks are on the house and the BMW motorcycle community is renowned for its great parties for a reason. The right supporting programme is also guaranteed.
